There are no up-front vocal bangers or indulgent in-the-red moments; honestly, there aren’t even that many overtly flushed ones. Far from overdriven bass drops and fiendish intensity, Unpatterns showcases elegant builds and tonal balance. This precision results in gradually emerging details, rather than flares of oversaturated swagger. Live, the pair is still capable of pull-ing up cheeky acid, rude low end, and sneer-ing leads, though they now seem prone to layering paced streams rather than heaping it all on. Expect to feel the vibe ping-pong when Simian Mobile Disco DJs alongside Omar and Shane King on Saturday, June 2, at Mezzanine. 9 p.m. $25; mezzaninesf.com. TONY WARE FRIDAY 1 ROCK Skillz on Deck G hetto Funk, the British record label and collective, is bringing Regrooved , its inter-national DJ tour, to San Francisco for the first time. The party is loosely built on the idea of remixing, remaking, and recontextualizing old groove records for a breakbeat-wise crowd. This installment will feature U.K. deck techni-cians A.Skillz and Krafty Kuts spinning together on four turntables with Dynamite MC, the dashing former mouthpiece of drum ‘n’ bass group Reprazent. Show promoter Sunset is of-fering free tickets to the break crew that posts the most captivating dance video to the party’s Facebook event page — so expect to witness at least one big circle of acrobatics when Re-grooved comes to S.F. on Friday, June 1, at Mighty. 9 p.m. $20-$25; www.mighty119.com.
